OVECHKIN CITY, D.C. _ Forsberg was smiling and laughing after the 4-1 Flyers loss tonight in our nation's capital.

You know the old saying: laugh in the face of tragedy when you can. He is looking for some positives in a very negative season.

He comes back after missing five games with a new Bauer right skate boot and he was playing terrific hockey in the first period.

He can't believe how cursed he is right now. He gets hit by Alexander Ovechkin at the end of that period and now has a concussion.

But he was thrilled at being able to do some things he has not been able to do in weeks on his skates.

“I got hit by one guy and then I hit the other guy’s [Dainus Zubrus] shoulder,” Forsberg told me smiling. “Things happen like that. Overall, I felt better. I was skating around much better. But I got a little bang in the head and it doesn’t feel right.”

His head aches. But he feels it's a slight concussion and he moght be able to play Tuesday against Carolina.

Forsberg will be seen today by Gary Dorshimer, the Flyers' internist. The earliest he coudl take a neuro-psychological exam would be Monday with Gerri McGinnis. He would have to pass that test and have Dorshimer's blessing to play.

Ovechkin-Zubrus-Semin had 6 points as a line. Ovechkin and Semin also had points on other lines.

**

Caps are 3-0 against the Fly Boys. They have never gone 4-0 against the Flyers.

**

This was Flyers' sixth straight loss, tying their franchise record again which they previously tied last month.

**

Strange quote from John Stevens on Forsberg hit: “To lose him there, the team had good jump, we had a 1-0 lead, it’s another self-inflicted wound there. We have a habit of giving teams energy at the wrong time. If we got out of the period 1-0, it would have bode well for us.”
