It looks as if the New York Rangers have left the auction due to the asking price was too rich for Rangers GM Glen Sather's blood. Or he could be playing the old game that's played at every car lot in the world. Walk away and hope the salesman comes running you down in the parking lot and drops the price.

If the Rangers are indeed out, that would open the door for others to come to the table. Enter Toronto, San Jose and possibly Nashville.

This will go into Monday for sure and don't be shocked if they close the auction at 3pm and reopen it back up in the summer around the entry draft.
