Ilya Bryzgalov pretty much has resigned himself that even when he does something good, something bad happens.

Pitch your25th career shutout and still lose a game, 1-0 because Evgeni Nabokov was simply unconscious at the other end.

When people look back on his first year in Philly, these are some of the things they'll remember.

Here's what the players had to say after the 1-0 shootout loss to the Islanders:

Kimmo Timonen on 45 shots and strong overall play:

"If we play like that we win a lot of games. That is our hockey. We skate, we hit, we force other teams to turn the puck over and create some offense from there.

"We had some chances to put the puck in the net but obviously he made some nice couple saves and we couldn't get the other point. Like I said, the effort was there for a full 65 minutes and we have to keep doing the same things next few games and move forward."

Jaromir Jagr on what more they could have done:

“Hot goaltender was probably the main reason. The other reason was maybe we need to go a little bit harder, or concentrate on the shooting or on the chances they got.

"Sometimes he had so many you don’t think it’s serious because you know the next chance is going to come and its game over.

"He was good, but I think we had to score on our chances and concentrate more. Make sure we score when we have the chance, and we just didn’t do that today.”

Claude Giroux on whether Nabokov was getting into their heads:

"Yeah, like I said we let him do whatever he wanted. He had the whole crease to himself and offensively we had a lot of chances. We were moving the puck in the D. We were aggressive. But in the end of the day we’ve got to find a way to beat the goalie."
