According to John Vogl and Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News, Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff was injured in a collision with Buffalo D man Jordan Leopold during a one-on-one drill in today's practice.

According to the report, Ruff had his back to Leopold who was defending Ville Leino in a 1-on-1 drill. Leopold lost and edge and fell to the ice, smashing into the unsupecting Ruff, who was sent airborne. Ruff landed hard on the ice.

Ruff was helped from the ice by team trainers and he did not meet with the media. Ruff's condition will be updated by the team once he is taking for x-rays at a nearby hospital.

More new to come.
