The Flyers go back to work today in preparation for tomorrow night's game against the Winnipeg Jets at the Wells Fargo Center. Philly is 0-2 against the Jets and got swept in last year's season series with the then Atlanta Thrashers. Scoring goals hasn't been a problem against Winnipeg this year, but preventing them has been way more difficult than it ought to be. Tomorrow night's game should be a good test.

There have not been any recent updates about the status of concussed forwards Danny Briere and James van Riemsdyk but it does not look as if either player is going to be immediately available to the team. Jaromir Jagr (groin pull) may be on track to play tomorrow but that also remains to be seen.

Claude Giroux scored a goal and Scott Hartnell bagged a pair of helpers for Team Alfredsson in yesterday's NHL All-Star Game. Kimmo Timonen did not register a point for Team Chara but played on the winning side of the 12-9 game.

Tonight in Atlantic City is the American Hockey League All-Star Game. Michael Leighton will be one of the starting goalies. At the start of the NHL break, the Flyers sent Harry Zolnierczyk, Tom Sestito and Ben Holmstrom back to the Phantoms. Zolnierczyk appears likely to be recalled to the big club today, while the status of the others depends in part on the progress of the Flyers' injured forwards.

I will post updates later today.
