Luke Adam would deep fry the french fries at the rink or flood the ice between periods, if that what his All Star Captain, Zdeno Chara, asked of him. Thats the kind of kid that Adam is.

"Cool Hand Luke" will try his best to make an lasting impression in Saturday's "hardest shot" competition.

Adam has a respectable clapper, however, he is gonna have to eat a case of Wheaties in order to compete with heavyweights like Chara and Weber. Win or lose, Adam will be able to tell his kids and grand kids that he had a front row seat for the calsh of the titans!

Sabres legend, Pat LaFontaine's Companions In Courage organization made a worthwhile and lasting contribution to the Ottawa community on Friday. The patients of the Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario will now have a fun, interactive area to escape to in order to help them to learn and be entertained while they heal.

The National Hockey League (NHL), the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA), the Ottawa Senators and Hockey Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine and his Companions in Courage charity today unveiled the new, state-of-the-art "NHL All-Star Legacy Playroom" at CHEO to commemorate 2012 NHL All-Star Weekend, the League's midseason spectacular and the first held in Canada's capital.

The Companions in Courage Foundation was founded by LaFontaine as a response to the inspiration he derived while visiting children in hospitals during his 15-year career. The organization builds interactive rooms and distributes mobile XBox kiosks in children's hospitals throughout North America. Through innovative communications tools, these rooms and kiosks replace the isolation of a hospital with a connection to family, friends, classmates and celebrities during their hospital stay.

Companions in Courage has worked extensively with Buffalo's Roswell Park Cancer Institute in a similar fashion. Lafontaine spearheaded the project during his playing days in Buffalo.
