Petr Nedved's career as a Flyer is over. He was waived for the second time this season and if he is not picked up, will remain with the Phantoms.

Asked whether his career as a Flyer were over _ no more recalls back to this club _ general manager Paul Holmgren said, "Yeah."

The club is going to give young Ryan Potulny a shot to stay with the team the remainder of the season.

More to come ...

Good news on Geoff Sanderson. The MRI showed a slight strain but not a major tear of the abdominal wall. Sanderson will NOT need surgery. Mike Richards will have surgery tomorrow for the same injury.

Peter Forsberg fell several times on the ice today. He left this afternoon to visit a bio-mechanics lab at Temple Univeristy to see if they can help either his deformed right foot or invent a skate boot that works for him.
