PREVIEW 11:15 PM (1/6/12)
Coming off a solid win in Nashville and finally clicking again offensively, the Dallas Stars
(22-16-1) will take on the Edmonton Oilers (16-21-3) in a Saturday matinee at the American Airlines Center. The game starts at 1 PM CST and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest.
This is the second of four meetings between the teams this season, and the last of two in Dallas. On Nov. 21, the Stars defeated the Oilers, 4-1, getting goals from Radek Dvorak, Steve Ott, Michael Ryder and Toby Petersen. Kari Lehtonen was sharp in goal as well.
After this game, the Oilers will complete a seven-game road trip, which coincided with the World Junior Championships. The trip has not been kind to Edmonton, which has lost five of six and given up an average of four goals per game.
Ex-Oiler Sheldon Souray is nearing his return from an ankle injury but is not quite ready yet. Phillip Larsen (concussion) also remains out of the Dallas lineup.
