Whiplash for Giroux

GM Paul Holmgren told me tonight that Claude Giroux is suffering from "whiplash" effect from that accidental knee hit by Wayne Simmonds.

He is still hoping that is all it is and not a concussion.

For more on this, go to CSNPhilly.com.

Flyers entourage is here in Chicago to celebrate Ed Snider going into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame tonight.

Only update we have is that Claude Giroux continues to feel better. I am led to believe that the hit (knee to the head) left him sore but not necessarily with headaches, per se.

Giroux did not go to Washington and I would surprised if he flies to Montreal this week.

Again, as every fan who sees what is going on around the NHL, until a player comes back and plays a few games you never really know for sure whether he was concussed if the symptoms are mild or ambiguous to begin with.
