Brendan Shanahan has swung his hammer again and this time it is Kevin Porter who will be suspended.

Shanahan suspended Porter 4 games today for his knee-to-knee hit which hurt Vancouver Canucks forward David Booth.

As a result, defenseman Matt Hunwick will skate at forward for tonight's Avs game in Calgary while Brad Malone has been recalled and will be available to play on Friday in Edmonton.

The incident happened Monday when Porter collided in a knee-on-knee collision with Booth. Booth went down and had to be helped off the ice and Porter got a five minute major and a game misconduct. Booth is now out 4-6 weeks with an MCL sprain.

Meanwhile, the other hit, the boarding non-call of Maxim Lapierre on Ryan Wilson was not punished. Wilson is out with a concussion after hitting his face on the glass as Lapierre appeared to hit him from behind, into the boards.
