Matchup- Islanders (5-11-4 - 14 points) @ Devils (12-8-1 - 25 points)
TV - MSG Plus, MSG Plus 2,
Puck drop - 1:00 PM ET
Last 5: Devils 4-1-0 / Islanders 1-3-1
Last 10: Devils 7-3-0 / Islanders 2-6-2
Projected starting goalies - Martin Brodeur (NJ) vs. Al Montoya (NYI)

Battle of the stats

Goals for/against per game

New York Islanders - 1.90 / 3.25
New Jersey - 2.38 / 2.57

Powerplay/Penalty Kill percentage

New York Islanders - 14.9% / 79.2%
New Jersey - 13.3% / 94.0%

Here are the projected lines (subject to change) for the Islanders:

Matt Moulson - John Tavares - PA Parenteau
Michael Grabner - Frans Nielsen - Kyle Okposo
Matt Martin - Josh Bailey - Nino Niederreiter
Michael Haley - Marty Reasoner - David Ullstrom

Mark Streit - Steve Staios
Andrew MacDonald - Travis Hamonic
Mike Mottau - Milan Jurcina

Here are the projected lines (subject to change) for the Devils:

Zach Parise - Adam Henrique - Ilya Kovalchuk
Petr Sykora - Patrik Elias - Dainius Zubrus
Tim Sestito - Ryan Carter - David Clarkson
Mattias Tedenby - Brad Mills- Cam Janssen

Andy Greene - Adam Larsson
Henrik Tallinder - Mark Fayne
Bryce Salvador - Anton Volchenkov

Notes: Brad Mills and Cam Janssen played just 1:50 yesterday...Sestito, who played 13:28 and had 3 hits and 3 blocked shots yesterday, will play his third consecutive game...Mark Fayne played more minutes than every other Devils defenseman yesterday...The Devils penalty kill has killed 22 consecutive penalties off and 51 of the last 52 (hat-tip to Tom Gulitti)...New Jersey currently sits 8th in the Eastern Conference.

Islanders to watch out for:

Brian Rolston - He didn't do much against his former team yesterday. Can he contribute today?

John Tavares - He's way too good to be playing like this. He'll break out of his slump eventually.

Travis Hamonic - Coming off a 26 point season (in just 62 games) the two-way defenseman is really struggling. As of now he has just two points in 20 games.

Devils to watch out for:

Adam Larsson - He is currently on a four game point streak ((0G, 4A).

Adam Henrique - Believe it or not he is outscoring Zach Parise and Ilya Kovalchuk. Henrique has 11 points (4G, 7A) in his last 12 games.

Martin Brodeur - Can he match Johan Hedberg's performance from yesterday?
