Reports out of Leafs practce are that center Mikhail Grabovski will be out two weeks or more with a "lower body" injury. Winger Clarke MacArthur has yet to see the doctors for his upper body injury, but is definitely out for tomorrow night's game in Nashville.

No callups have been made from the Marlies and none are expected.

Tim Connolly replaced Grabovski at practice this morning on the second line, between Nikolai Kulemin and Joey Crabb.

GM Brian Burke indicated on Toronto’s Sportsnet Radio this morning that goaltender James Reimer’s status remains a mystery and may necessitate the club making a move for a veteran netminder.

Burke indicated “we don’t know” when Reimer will be able to return and until the 23 year old is symptom free, he will not participate in any practices or off-ice workouts.

When questioned regarding the possibility of acquiring a goaltender, the Leafs GM stated “we are exploring those options”, but was unequivocal about veteran free agent Marty Turco.

“We have zero interest in Marty Turco”

Both center Mikhail Grabovski and winger Clarke MacArthur were injured in last night’s 3-2 shootout loss to Phoenix. MacArthur’s injury was described as “upper body” by Coach Ron Wilson in his post game press conference, while Grabovski’s “lower body” injury appeared to stem from a knee-on-knee collision with a Coyotes defenseman early in the third period. He returned to the ice for a shift, but was not able to skate without discomfort and went to the locker room for examination.

Wilson indicated that both players will be examined by the team’s medical staff this morning and Burke said that Tim Connolly will be available to replace one of the injured forwards if they are not available for Thursday night’s game in Nashville. If both players are unavailable, a call up from the Marlies will be necessary, but Burke hesitated to name which forward would be recalled.

Will update when any news of Grabovski and MacArthur’s status becomes available.
