TSN Radio is reporting that the Leafs have made inquiries regarding free agent goaltender Marty Turco.

In 29 games played with the Hawks, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ont native went 11-11-3 with a 3.02 GAA and .897 save percentage.

The 36 year old Turco was brought in to share duties with Corey Crawford last season, but Crawford's superior play won him the starting job and relegated Turco to backup duty.

If there is any truth to overtures being made to Turco, then the long term prognosis of James Reimer has to be in question, as well as the obvious fact that Leafs Coach Ron Wilson has no confidence in Jonas Gustavsson.

Per various reports from Leafs practice this morning, rookie Ben Scrivens is first off the ice, which means he will get the start tonight versus the Phoenix Coyotes.

It will be Scrivens third start in row.

Forward Tim Connolly is still not ready to get back into the lineup, but LeafsTV's Paul Hendrick(@hennytweets) is reporting that he will likely draw in on Thursday in Nashville.

Will have more later regarding my thoughts on goaltenders being taken out.....
