Quick Hits...

As expected, the rumors are heating up tonight.....

Will something go down? Who knows...but here are a few rumors for your pleasure...

On Mike Fisher...

I was kind of shocked last week when CMT linked Fisher to the Preds, but I have heard this as well, however the asking price for Fisher is "much higher than normal for his skill set" according to one source.

Fisher does bring a great deal to a team, especially a team on the verge.

Other teams I am hearing who have inquired on Fisher....LA, Boston, and Washington.

On Forsberg...

My sources are telling me they once again believe that Foppa won't be back this season, but may fully take what he has learned in practicing and apply it this summer in hopes of a comeback next year. I have also heard Forsberg will only play for Colorado, Philly, or the Rangers. (welcome to 200(7)?) and I have heard Forsberg would like a 2-year deal.... tough to imagine wanting two years when you aren't even sure you can play a single game.

On Spezza...

Were I to answer the question "Who could be the big surprise this weekend to be dealt?" The answer would be Jason Spezza. He is healthy and I get the strong indication both Spezza and the Sens are ready to do this. Spezza is really loved by a few teams right now. The Kings, Oilers, Avalanche, and even Leafs (would Ottawa do that though?) have interest in Spezza.

On Emery...

There may be a home soon for Emery with reports the Anaheim Ducks have interest. I have also heard Buffalo and Phoenix mentioned. I wouldn't be shocked to see Emery inked this weekend and sent to an AHL affiliate.

On the Flyers...

Huge debates continue if the Flyers have the goaltending to make a serious Cup run. The team continues to pile up the points, but recent big losses to top teams Vancouver (6-1) and Boston (7-5) and Tampa 4-0 have some concerned. There is a group of people in Philly who feel the team has enough depth to easily defeat 90% of the league, 95% of the time, but in big games against the NHL elite their goaltending has faltered. I tend to agree.

On Souray...

I continue to hear scouts being 'not impressed" with Souray's game at the AHL level.
