Quick Hit Update en route to airport....
I will be blogging the next week from Florida as we take our annual jaunt to the In-laws for Thanksgiving....I am doing a podcast from the airport with Kevin Allen that will appear later..
On Price...
Considering all that went down with Jaroslav Halak...Considering all the injuries in Montreal...Considering the pressure to perform in Montreal...Considering the controversy which surrounds him...
It's hard to argue that Carey Price is NOT the MVP of the league right now...
Rumors...
**Anaheim and Montreal were talking last week and are apparently talking again....I honestly can't remember a year Montreal was talking to more teams this early...another team's source (not Anaheim or Vancouver) who has been in contact with Montreal as well put it this way..."Montreal has Price right now and not much else...They know that should something happen to Price they would be fighting to maintain a playoff spot."
*Islanders are definitely looking for a defenseman and my sources are telling me there appears to be a partner in Calgary. The name the Isles like is Robyn Regehr who makes a ton of sense...the Flames want Josh Bailey I am told...
*Sources also tell me the Devils and Avalanche remain "in constant communication" and the Devils have serious interest in Liles and "another Grade A prospect." The Avs "have dreams of getting a top line forward in return."
What's the Buzz?
1. What do you all think of a deal which would include Regehr for Bailey? Obviously there would be more involved. What do Flames fans want and what do Isles fans want as well?
2. Is Price that important...Is he the MVP of the NHL so far?
3. Does Liles fit, and does NJ have to tear apart their nucleus?
