Happy Labor Day All...
A few quick hits for you all...
* The Sharks, who improved greatly by acquiring Niemi last week aren't done yet. Sources have told me the possibility exists the Sharks make another move for a D-man and have had talks with the NY Rangers about Mark Staal, The Canucks about Kevin Bieksa, and Paul Mara, and even MA Bergeron.
* The Rangers would like Setoguchi in return for Staal...The Rangers are playing some extreme hardball with Marc, Tortorelli has flat out said he should not come to camp if he isn't signed.
* The Vancouver Canucks and Washington Capitals have popped up in quite a few rumors this week. The Caps are still in need of help on the defensive end and while the Canucks aren't shopping Bieksa at this point, the Caps are very interested.
* The Caps also have interest in Sheldon Souray, but the Oilers would need to take some serious money back in the deal. Tom Poti, Jason Chimera has reportedly been a talking point as well.
* Ryan Johnson, maybe the most underrated impact player left is possibly headed to the Kings or Canadiens early this week.
* The Flyers are seriously interested in Bill Guerin...but don't rule out the Predators or Islanders.
* Patrick O'Sullivan may return to the Kings, but I am hearing the Islanders, Leafs, Predators, and Stars all have interest.
