On Kaberle....

Talking to sources, the two deals on the table for Kaberle today became 3, so there are officially 3 teams in the running as of now. There has been a ton made of the fact that Burke wants a top 6 forward for Kaberle. Well, according to my sources he may be tweaking this a tad.

We all remember that magic Saturday morning when Phaneuf and Giguere were acquired...well it looks as though we may have not one but two deals coming in Leaf-land, and it is getting to the point where this could happen next week.

I am hearing the NON-Kaberle deal would bring a top 6 forward to the Leafs, but a piece acquired in the Kaberle deal may be essential to make that happen.

More as I get it, but again I stand by the fact that Kaberle will indeed by traded by August 15th...next Monday.

On O'Sullivan...

One of the best moves the Predators have ever made was acquiring JP Dumont when the Buffalo Sabres walked away from an arbitration ruling for the forward. Dumont was always skilled, but often overlooked in the Briere and Drury days on the Sabres. Another player the Preds are now considering reminds me of Dumont...Patrick O'Sullivan...and I hear he could be a Pred in short order. The Preds also may look to Tim Kennedy as well...
