Well the Kovalchuk watch is back on of sorts.

Just mere hours after my last post wondering if the deal was illegal the NHL rejected the contract, saying it circumvented the cap.

Now we get to wonder how the contract will change if Kovalchuk will still be a Devil, what he will make and all the other questions we were asking before. Are the Kings back in? How about Russia?

This is big for the NHL just to be able to stop this and stop other teams from doing similar contracts and putting the NHL down a slippery slope.

Stay tuned this thing just got really interesting.
