Attention Nashville Area HB’ers

There is a fund raiser being held tonight for the inline rinks in Hendersonville. These rinks took a massive hit from the flooding in May and need help to get rebuilt. Bellevue is done, now it’s time to focus our attention… and our help on Hendersonville.

Tonight, from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. there’s a party and silent auction at the Sicilian Pizza House, located at 476 W. Main St. (next to Circus World) in Hendersonville.

Radio play-by-play man for the Preds, Tom Callahan will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event. There will be a live band, door prizes, and contests for adults and kids!

Predators stick signed by Ryan Suter
Predators jersey signed by Pekka Rinne
USA Hockey Apparel
Titans- football: signed by Cortland Finnegan, Michael Griffin, Kerry Collins, Michael Roos, and Rob Bironas
Denver Nuggets basketball: signed by all players
Montreal Canadians jersey: signed by entire team
Oak Ridge Boys autographed C.D. and book
Reba McEntire autographed C.D.
Free Dance Lessons for a year
Gift certificates from Play It Again Sports
Condo in Panama City Beach for a week (min. bid of $600)
Race car ride
And much more!

Any and all donations will be accepted. All proceeds to go towards the re-surfacing of the Hendersonville inline rinks and the replacement of lost equipment.

Most of all, come have fun as we bring our hockey and extended hockey families together for a great time!

OK… I gotta go here… It looks like the NJ Devils contract with Ilya Kovalchuk will do one good thing. It may drive the GM’s to close this glaring loophole in the CBA. 17 years? Just to bring down the cap hit?

I know it’s legal inside the framework of the CBA. It doesn’t make it right.
