There is some good news for Pittsburgh fans this morning after quite a scare in Moncton last night. Talking to sources on the Pens this morning Malkin dislocated his shoulder but the trainers did manage to pop it back in. He was in good spirits on the plane ride home and although he was given a sling to keep his arm in he was mostly just holding the sling in his hand by the time he got off the plane. Although there is no time line as to when Malkin will play again, it doesn't appear that he will miss much time.

Recchi on the other hand did suffer a fracture to a bone in his face and is likely to miss a couple of weeks.

Malkin was often dazzling in the first period and change, with reports from both teams saying that he is a bonifide superstar who will boost the Pens offense substantially. More to come.
