The Avalanche player review is back with a look at newly-signed Adam Foote
season stats: 67 games played, no goals, nine assists
Postseason stats: Six games played, one assist
Nicknames: Footer
Contract status: Resigned $1 million for next year
Adam Foote didn't have as good a season as his prime days but then again, he didn't have as bad a season as the one last year.
His 67 games played were the highest total he has accumulated since he left Colorado to go to Columbus and his plus- 8 rating is also the best numbers he's put up in the time period as well.
Foote finally solved the issues he had with his back and regained a little more speed. In the middle of the season, Foote made a great pairing with Ryan Wilson, providing a physical pairing, especially when the third line was out as well.
near the end of the season, he was paired with Kyle Cumiskey, covering his mistakes. But when Foote slowed down, that pairing was shown to be weak defensively.
Footer will never be the same guy he was in 2001 but he is still a good leader and is still really strong and fierce around the net.
While he wont be able to lay guys out as much, he is the same Adam Foote we've come to know and love, just not as Adam Foote as Adam Foote used to be.
Highlight of the year
Foote's pass to Mueller to spring him for the tying goal midway through the period in San Jose was the best of Foote's season.
Have a better one, post it in the comments section
2010-11 outlook
This is probably his last season so he should make it count the most.
