Thanks to the entire hockey family for the well wishes and thoughts during Nashville's time of need. It's been an interesting couple of days in the Music City.

The flooding in Nashville is pretty bad. The Cumberland River is cresting significantly above flood stage. The river is overflowing its banks in several places, flooding areas of downtown, Franklin, Bellevue and the Opryland area. The Opryland Hotel is flooded due to a levee break near the hotel also causing The Grand Ole Opry House to take on water, along with Opry Mills Mall. Initial estimates is that the hotel may be closed for months, making a serious economic impact to the Middle Tennessee area.

Bridgestone Arena is reported to be taking in water, six blocks up from the river... Pinnacle Tower has water in all of its underground parking levels... The District is fighting off the water as best as possible. Half of Nashville's water treatment capacity is offline, causing government to ask residents to cut their water usage in half... Coast Guard, the Army Corps of Engineers, National Guard units from across the country are converging to help.

This is only the beginning... It's hard to think about anything else right now... I ask for your continued thoughts and prayers for the people of middle Tennessee. If you want to help out... here are some links...
