Brian Leetch- The best Ranger of all time will basically decide where he plays this year I am told. It will be one of three teams, Boston, NY Rangers or the NY Islanders. The way the Rangers trading Brian just left a terrible taste in his mouth and although he should return and finish his career there and help QB the power play with Jags and Shanny, it is uncertain that he can put the past behind him. I will say that I hear more and more that he will return to NY.

Danny Markov- The Flyers missed him last year badly, and the Preds did get a solid, albeit not really a true Markov year. Danny is a competitor and is the best d not yet signed, however for some reason his reputation in the room is hurting him according to my sources. Danny could return home to play if he doesn’t get the right deal. LA (e1), Chicago (e2) and Detroit (e1), NY Rangers (e2) (Can you imagine Darius and Danny on the same team?) are teams that I have heard so far.

Ken Klee-Ken is a very serviceable defenseman who had he not played in Toronto would be much more highly regarded. He may not “awe” you, but he will give you solid minutes and can help keep a team under control. The Panthers (e2), The Kings (e1) and Washington (e2)

Sean Hill- Sean is one of the veterans that got hurt by the lockout. The season prior to the lockout Sean was solid and scored points in Carolina. He was one guy that a lot of Canes players said they wished he could have experienced the Cup run. He had a bad points campaign in Florida last year, but could rebound this year easily to be a ten goal, 30 assist guy on the right team. Ottawa (e1), NY Islanders (e2), San Jose (e1), Colorado (e1)
