Is Nylander to the Kings a Possibility? |

At 36 years old does he still have game?
Is he an upgrade over
Michal Handzus or an insurance policy should
Jarret Stoll's arthritic condition reemerge? Will he be an asset or a disruption to a tight locker room?
These are the questions Dean Lombardi and Ron Hextall will be asking themselves over the next day or two. They certainly liked the option of having a solid veteran defenseman in
Randy Jones.
For whatever reason,
Michael Nylander didn't work in Washington and that has to raise some red flags. After spurning the Oilers at the last minute, he missed half the season in Washington with various injuries then had a less than stellar comeback season last year.
But is he a better fit to dish the puck to
Dustin Brown?
His cap hit would be a reasonable 2.4 million and his salary next season would be a chance taking 1.5 million.
You can never have enough good veterans.
