Nylander on Waivers = Caps in on Forsberg. Eliminate the Trapezoid?

The much maligned Nylander is now officially on waivers. I for one believe that Nylander still has plenty in the tank and that there is a strong possibility that he will be picked up on re-entry. There were rumors swirling last night that three teams: Detroit, Edmonton, and the Kings had interest.

Last year Nylander came extremely close to being moved to the Blackhawks.

The word on the street is that this move along with the Ovechkin injury being a bit longer than was initially reported may indicate that the Capitals are seriously close to grabbing Forsberg.

I do know that Washington is a team that very much interests Peter and the thought of adding Forsberg to that power play with Peter feeding Ovechkin is truly fantastic.

More to come.

The NHL GMs will discuss eliminating the trapezoid behind the net this week in Toronto. I for one think it is a great idea. What do you think?
