SABRES & BRUINS

The Bears will be in a surly mood. They've played three games this week. They were shutout twice, and scored on goal in the other. One goal in three games is enough to make a coach want to punch himself in the face! Claude Julien is saying all the right things outwardly, however, he must be seething on the inside. Gone from his 08/09 squad are Kessel and Kobasew. Whats more, Savard and Lucic are in the nurse's office. David Krejci, the surprise of Bruin from last season, is quarantined with the H1N1 virus.

The B's outscored, out hustled, and out hit their opponents for most of 08/09. SDo far this season, they are taking their lumps. They enter tonight's tilt in 11th place in the East standings.

Julien needs scoring from anyone who can deliver as this point. Dan Paille, Steve Begin, Blake Wheeler, and young Sobotka are doing their dead level best, however, its hard to replace the likes of the departed and the infirmed.

To me, this game has an eerily simiar aroma to that of the Halloween night stinker on the Island. Just sayin...

Paille has five assists and no goals since the trade to Boston in October. He'll no doubt be jacked up to play his buds tonight. Claude Julien is playing Paille on a regular line with Begin and Sobotka and he's earning 15-16 minutes per night.

Attaboy, Danno!

Jhonas Enroth will start in goal for Buffalo tonight.

My favourte Bostonians on this planet!

I have to tip me Bauer lid to Hank Tallinder for his performance in Friday night's loss to Philly. #10 was all over the ice, joining the rush whenever the oportunity arose. His effort was encouraging. Looks like Tyler Myers has rubbed off on Hank who is no longer a tank.
