Islanders Capo, Doug Weight, was knocked out for the count by the swine flu last week. He chipped in two assists for the Islanders in their 3-1 win over Edmonton on Monday night.

Says here that Burkie and Wilson will unveil the Team USA Olympic roster on January 1, at the Ice Bowl in Beantown.


Ryan Miller, Drew Stafford, Tim Connolly, Jason Pominville, and Paul Gaustad still have time to impress the USA brass.

With Miller in the pipes, the onus wilkl fall on the USA forwards to score early and often in the short tourney. Kane, Gomez, Parise, and Brown can put the biscuit in the basket, however, USA will need four scoring lines in order to compete for medals vs. Canada, Russia, Sweden, the Czechs and the Finns.
