Briere Injury Not A Groin Pull

We heard some good news today at practice - Danny Briere's injury is NOT a right groin or right abdominal pull.

He had a muscle pull on his right leg under the quad muscle. That's entirely different from a groin pull and far less worrisome for the Flyers.

"I'm feeling better today and it's really not serious compared to what I had to go through last year," Briere told me in a text message. "Hoping in a few days I will be able to rejoin the team in practice."

Not good news on Ryan Parent (groin pull) ...

As for Simon Gagne ... still no decision. What on earth is taking so long here? It's time to make a surgical decision and move on. Gagne wants another opinion. I can hear the frustration in GM Paul Holmgren's voice when he talks about this on-going saga of whether Gagne will have surgery.
