HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Game Night in Smashville as the ghosts and goblins come out for a spooky time at the Sommet Center as the Nashville Predators go for three wins in a row. The Dallas Stars are in town with injuries to Mike Modano, Jere Lehtonen and a goaltender that is sick in Marty Turco and are coming off last night's shootout loss to Florida.
Expect Pekka Rinne in net as Coach Barry Trotz usually rewards shutouts with the next start. I would think that Alex Auld will get the nod tonight for Dallas, but nothing has been announced yet.
The Predators could actually finish the month of October with a .500 record as a win tonight will draw the team to 6-6-1. Considering that there was a six game losing streak in there, that’s fairly decent.
More roster moves as Cal O’Reilly was sent down to the Admirals yesterday and Peter Olvecky was called up and will take Martin Erat’s place in the lineup as Erat is continuing to recover from a lower body injury. According to Coach Trotz the move was driven by positional need as the Preds need a little more depth at wing.
Game time is 7pm… there is a costume contest tonight, Pred fans have been very creative on past Halloween’s and Preds broadcaster’s Pete Weber and Terry Crisp also get into the spirit. Radio only tonight on
