Good teams find a way to win and the road weary Sharks did just that.

Following their 6 game east coast road trip in which they went 4-2, the Sharks looked a bit sluggish in the 1st period as the Kings peppered Evgeni Nabakov with 13 shots. Finally, in the 2nd period, the flaming hot Alexander Frolov scored on a wrap-around giving him his 3rd goal in 2 games and his 7th point in 4.

Jonathan Quick played another strong game in net stopping 29 of 30 shots and only allowing a blast from Patrick Marleau, who scored his 10th goal of the season.

The Kings had a chance to win the game in the shootout as San Jose elected to shoot first and Marlea missed. Michal Handzus scored but the Kings couldn’t seal the victory. Dany Heatley saved the day and the palyer of the week, Anze Kopitar also had a chance to win the game but failed on his attempt. It took three more rounds before Ryan Clowe put one past Quick and Jarret Stoll failed on his attempt.

The Kings play Vancouver tonight but they won’t have to face Roberto Luongo who has a hairline fracture of his rib.

There were only 4 penalties called the entire game, non after the 1st period.

Rob Scuderi contacted Blue Jackets Jason Chimera who accepted his apology
