7-1
That's the amount of power play opportunities Florida had compared to Ottawa.
It's not a case of the penalties being bad calls, in fact with the exception of maybe one call, all the penalties were pretty cut and dry. The problem however was the calls weren't going both ways. I can count at least 5 plays that went uncalled against the Panthers.
But, considering the end result of tonight’s game, I can't complain as it didn't cost the Sens the game, or more than a single goal actually.
The PK has to be the single biggest success so far for the Cory Clouston and the Sens. It has been continually consistent from each game to the next.
Filip Kuba made his return tonight and his impact was very noticeable as he finished the game with 2 assists and a +2 rating. Hopefully he will continue to have this impact.
A few concerns for Sens fans tonight - A-Train looked like he may have injuried his shoulder in the closing minutes of tonight’s game. It didn't look overly serious but it will be something to keep an eye on.
The bigger concern is
Pascal Leclaire left the game after the first period.
Early reports sound like his flu/illness kicked up during the game. One report had him en route to a local hospital to check him out.
According to the Sens twitter page he left with illness.
So hopefully in the coming hours we'll have more information.
