It's sad to hear that Patrick Swayze died last night.
23 years ago, Swayze played the captain of a junior team in Hamilton in the legendary flick, Youngblood. Who can forget lines like this one:
"Hey, go hump your Saint Bernard, scum-nuts"
Not sure if Brando could have pulled off that line. Not sure Brando could play hockey.
Dany Heatley was finally traded. Anyone else find it funny that Ottawa put him through his physical before they dealt him? Kind of a going away present/punishment.
I like
Jonathan Cheechoo, hopefully he can regain his scoring touch in Ottawa, but not against the Leafs :-)
Nice tactic by the Leafs inregards to Kessel. Offer two first round picks in a trade, or get just one if the Leafs give him an offer sheet.
Why doesn't Boston sign Kessel and send Ryder and his $4million packing? Who would you rather have?
Staying with New England. I love the TAPS guys, Ghost Hunters is my favourite show. Did you see the show where they are investigating the former funeral home that was converted into a museum? Go find it on You Tube, the voices they picked up were unreal.
I'm looking forward to watching the Leafs game tomorrow night to see Jason Allison (if he plays). I'm intrigued to find out if he's taken his game up a notch since last we saw him. Allison can pass the puck, so worst case scenario, just tie him to
Jason Blake.....write that down.
22 years ago today. The Infamous, Larry Murphy as the greatest decoy in hockey history as Gretzky makes his drop pass to Lemieux and le but. Yes I know, slight hook by Dale Hawerchuk on the play.
With the passing of Swayze, how about name your top 5 hockey flicks of all-time?
Here's mine
1. Slap Shot
2. The Rocket
3. Mystery Alaska
4. Miracle On Ice (Not to be confused with, Norm Maracle On Ice)
5. Sudden Death (always need a JCVD movie on the list)
