According to one of my new favorite websites, capgeek.com the Preds have signed left winger Peter Olvecky. The contract shows as a 2-way deal that would be worth 500k at the NHL level.
No official word of this as of yet, but I must say that Cap Geek has had some signings before anyone else frequently. It's not 100% that the Preds signed Olvecky until the press release hits my inbox, but I'd call this a 98%.

More than likely he'll be in Milwaukee, but then again, that's what we all said about Joel Ward who was another grinder type from the Minnesota Wild organization. Olvecky is younger than Ward, but can you blame Poile for trying to mine gold twice?
