*QUICK HIT RUMORS AS UPDATED ON THE RUMOR CHART:

*Talking to sources today, Ohlund looks to be a pretty good bet to the LA Kings

*Jay Bo is coming down to a three horse race between Vancouver, Calgary, and Philly. It looks to be up to FLA. If the Panthers don't want to take money back and are insisting on a pick, then Philly could be out and Vancouver may actually get the inside track. Jay Bo will not be playing in Eastern Canada.

*Beauchemin may be though. The Canadiens could find themselves without there #1 and #2 soon...Beauchemin is a good bet....Toronto will be in on it as well. Especially if the Leafs ship Kaberle to Minnesota.

*Gionta. The Devils are out from all indications...The Sabres and Thrashers are in...

*Lecavalier. While things may have changed a bit from yesterday's meeting I believe it is being overblown. Basically what is not being said right now is where the answers may lay grasshopper....

*The Flyers may be dealing their #1 pick.

*Demitra came out on local radio and stated that Gaborik had NOT bought a house. Ah, my favorite..."Real Estate Rumors!"

*The Kings sent me the following video with Ron Hextall talking on Heatley

*Jonas Gustavsson to Toronto (e4) - This one looks done and could be announced Wednesday. Another source has told me that the Leafs are talking to Colorado, Tampa, and LA about moving up to their respective #1's.

*Ted Kulfan (one of my favorites) is reporting that Samuelsson may be on the way out and that "he has put his house up for sale according to several residents in his Novi neighborhood."
Samuelsson is cherished by LA, Anaheim, and NJ.

*The Ottawa Senators and Buffalo Sabres are both looking to acquire Cammalleri's rights. The Predators also want him, but may not be willing to trade for the opportunity.

*The Boston Bruins are again listening to teams with interest in Phil Kessel. This is likely tied to the belief the Chiarelli would LOVE to get Dany Heatley. Heatley has put out his list of teams and Boston is on it. By the way, How does a player DEMANDING A TRADE get to list his teams again. I mean isn't that more or less like saying he doesn't care if he is traded at all. One thing is for sure, Chara will not be going back the other way.

more additions coming...

Late night Quick Hits...

*The Montreal Canadiens have "gone into lockdown mode" and sources are telling me that a "major deal announcement is being prepared for Friday night." Meanwhile, there has been some major shuffling going on among team coaches, etc. Another source in Montreal..."We are about to see a rebirth of this team. The excitement is off the charts. The people who are aware of what is about to happen are smiling ear to ear.

I have even heard that should the Canadiens get close, Lecavalier may actually go to Montreal and make an appearance once dealt to the Habs.

"It would be great to have him help go out and announce a draft pick," a source speculated.

* The Rangers are reportedly offering a deal that may include Chris Drury to the Sens for Dany Heatley. A source close to the scene in NY said that "There are major wheels in motion, and I believe Heatley to be a Ranger by Sunday."

*The Flyers also believe they can first get a deal done for Jay Bo and then worry about clearing space later. The "big" deal that was on the table is not longer possible however, I am told. It is quite possible that the Flyers would move Lupul to make this happen,

*The Sabres are interested in Jordan Leopold...

* Martin Havlat definitely wants to remain a Hawk. In his twitter just moments ago from Prague he wrote, "Just waking up. I had some meetings with my agent in Prague the last few days and he is on the way to Mtl. He will meet with Dale tonight. Everyone should know I am only thinking about signing with Chicago. It's where I want to be."
