Pittsburgh: Not sure how in the world the Red Wings are going to pull this off with the salary cap, but multiple sources (including an NHL source here in the hotel in Pittsburgh) are telling me that the Red Wings and Hossa are closing in on a 6-8 year extension.

Going to meet with a source now...

ALSO...thank to the folks at Hockeybuzz HQ for adding this...According to Reuters the Florida Panthers may be sold in the very near future by Sports Property Aquisitions Group

"A publicly held company formed last year to acquire sports properties has agreed to purchase the Florida Panthers hockey team for $240 million, a source familiar with the talks said on Tuesday."

another blog to follow about the scene here in Pitt...after dinner.

TO SEE ALL 140+ Players on the Chart GO HERE

Now as many of you know, The Rumor Chart is a twice-a-year exclusive for Hockeybuzz Season Ticket Holders. So yes it will cost you $20. However, I do update it constantly with information I am hearing and often I can get stuff out faster on the Chart than anywhere else. Especially this year with so many players involved and the league UFA's. The Twenty Bucks you spend will go a long way to helping us here. And you will get other benefits including:

*NO AUTO PLAY VIDEO ADS (yes we get the complaint often and we would love to not have the auto-play video ads, but they do pay the bills. If you help us however, for $20 we will kill them for you)
*The HockeyBuzz Chat Room
*Free Entry into all fantasy games with the the biggest prizes
* Season Ticket Q & As with Eklund.
* And more...
