It all comes down to this…

A back-to-back on the road to determine the Predator’s playoff fate... Will the team be making travel arrangements… or tee times come Easter Sunday?

No matter what happens this weekend, it would be hard to call this season a failure. It would also be hard to call this season a success. From the Radulov saga to the improvement in attendance (both paid and actual)… from the kids at the beginning that couldn’t cut it, to the kids at the end that could… from the lack of action in free agent season to the lack of action at the trade deadline. Plenty of things to be excited about, and some things to be concerned about... I’ll save those for my end of season post…

But tonight, it’s the Red Wings… at the Joe. The Predators never seem to take the easy way, especially this season. Detroit still has a mathematical shot at the number one seed, but not a realistic one.

Coverage for tonight’s game on 104.5 the Zone and FS Tennessee… puck drops at 6:30. Tonight’s game does have an HD feed (thank heavens!) Dish channels 449 (SD) 9519 (HD)… DirecTV channels 644 (SD) 644-1 (HD)

Congratulations to the Columbus Blue Jackets and their long-suffering fans on clinching a playoff spot last night… it’s been a long time comin’. How about a hand tomorrow night and take out the Blues in regulation? Please??

Any win tonight brings the chances of the playoffs up to 32%... at least according to SportsClubStats.com

The “Where We Stand” Update

The Predators stand 9th in the Western Conference at 86 points, one point ahead of Minnesota, the “Tragic Number” for the Wild is 2, the “Tragic Number” for the Preds is 3

The Predators are…

- Two points behind 7th place Anaheim.

- Two points behind 8th place St. Louis. The Blues currently own the tie-breaker over the Preds.
