Here are my thoughts about the game:

1. Avery can't help this Rangers team. Shanahan is on the Devils and I am not sure how well Avery would fare without him.

2. Great shutout and it was a much better effort than the previous game.

3. It looked like Scott Gomez had a lot to say to the referees. It reminded me of Sidney Crosby.
