Flyers GM Paul Holmgren gave updates earlier today on the cadre of injured Flyers.
Simon Gagne: The club is hopeful that its top LW will play tomorrow in DC.
Danny Briere: Briere indicated that he's a week or two away from being ready to return from LTIR from his groin injury.
Joffrey Lupul: The Flyers are calling his injury an "abdominal pull," not a sports hernia and saying that he will be out at least two weeks. He has been placed on IR. The team has recalled Andreas Nodl.
Antero Niittymaki: The backup goaltender is said to be feeling better, but will still be out a week to 10 days and has been placed on IR. The club has recalled Scott Munroe to back up Martin Biron in the interim.
Claude Giroux: The rookie has a "mild concussion" from the cheapshot he took in Anaheim. He is still not symptom free, but is listed day-to-day.
Arron Asham: The winger is still nursing a knee sprain but an MRI did not reveal any tears. He may be able to return this week.
Josh Gratton: Listed day to day with a "stomach issue".
Darroll Powe: Played through pain in the last game because of the severe shortage of players, but is still nursing a hip strain. He is unlikely to be able to play tomorrow.
Jonathon Kalinski: The rookie is in the hospital after undergoing a procedure to drain a severe contusion of his left thigh. He will be out of action for several weeks.
