Denis Potvin on "XM Home Ice" Says That He Believes Sun Will Retire |

Interesting take, for a couple of reasons.
Potvin believes that Mats has gotten to the point where he enjoys working out and practicing more than he enjoys playing, stating that in his opinion the point a player should retire is when the desire to play the games leaves. When a player is afraid of being embarrassed or suffering a long-term injury.
It is Potvin's belief that Mats will not decide this week, go back to Sweden and make up his mind to retire.
It would be a shocker that would leave us all booing and throwing popcorn at the movie screen, but I like hearing a respected ex-player like Potvin's opinions.
One of the reasons I put this out there is that although I don't believe Mats will retire there is a large group of ex-players who have been asking the whole time, "Mats, are you still a hockey player or not?"
The other debate raging right now is whether or not we need to set a deadline by which UFA's have to sign. Say, American Thanksgiving?
What do you think?
I will be updating as the Sundin situation plays out today.
