News out of Vancouver is that while the Canucks will miss Luongo for a week or two it could have been much worse. I firmly don't believe that this will have a negative effect on the Canucks as Curtis Sanford has shown to be more than capable to date. If anything it may help the Canucks long term to get Roberto some rest.

What is truly amazing about Vancouver is this strong play hasn't been about Luongo carrying them, rather about a team playing a nearly perfect transitional game. A lot like the Sabres of a few years back.

As for Claude Lemieux...who would have thought this?

After two games for the Sharks affiliate in China (where do you get sent down from there, Saturn?)

Claude Lemieux has officially signed a tryout contract with the Sharks and will report to the AHL affiliate in Worcester Mass...As much as Claude Lemieux essentially ruined my childhood when he was a Devil I can't help but root for this guy right now. If he truly can still play he actually is a perfect playoff fit for San Jose.
