Rumours swirling this morning as I get ready to head up to the Stanley Cup Charity Event. (See Below)

According to an outstanding source, the Ottawa Senators are looking hard at make a trade for a "defenseman from the Panthers." Although many are suspected that they have interest in Bouwmeester, (join the club) it is also possible that they have interest in injured Panther D-man Cory Murphy.

Another source added that the Ohlund rumours will NOT go away either in regards to Ottawa and Montreal.

In Montreal, despite the teams play so far, losing Souray and Streit in consecutive seasons has finally caught up to them on the power play. The Canadiens need a point man to play opposite if Markov.

On Mats...

Another source in Western Canada called me up today and told me to, "Expect the unexpected with Mats Sundin. A few teams that have never been mentioned are suddenly significant players in the Mats Sundin Sweeps."

On Burke....

I am told that it is down to the Leafs and Senators, however I firmly believe that this really is the Leafs game to lose. I am told that a decision will likely be made, "by this time next week."

On Shanahan...

I am told to "expect an announcement during 'Hockey Night in Canada' Tonight. Again, I feel it is a dead heat between NJ and Philly.

From Bill Clement...

A couple of years ago I started thinking about the possibility bringing the Stanley Cup to Bucks County. When we won our 2 Cups with the Flyers the custom of getting the Cup for a day hadn't begun. When the NHL and Hockey Hall of Fame graciously agreed to my plan, I began organizing a fundraiser around the Cup.

I asked a number of incredible people to join the project and chose NOVA (Network Of Victims Assistance) and The JAG Fund (Brain Tumor Research) as the charities. I had gotten to know both of these groups in the past few years and have a place in my heart for them. They are Bucks County organizations, which was an important factor in their designations as charities for my Stanley Cup Bucks County event.

My thanks to the Flyers organization for their generosity and support, to our Flyers Alumni for their participation, and to everyone who helped make this day possible – especially the magnificent Flyers fans – the best fans in the world!
