More to come on Melrose...

Word is out that Shanahan will be playing for either the NJ Devils or the Philadelphia Flyers and we will know very shortly...

Also...

New York Islanders defenseman Thomas Pock has been suspended for five games, without pay, as a result of an elbowing incident that took place during last night's game against
the Ottawa Senators.

Pock was assessed a major penalty for elbowing and game misconduct for hitting Ottawa forward Ryan Shannon at 15:55 of the third period.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Pock will forfeit $17,943.55. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
