Possible Jobs for Former GM Brian Burke

Just a little attempt for comedy for a slow Friday afternoon . . .

Ok, we know all the rumor and innuendo. One of the worst kept secrets has been that Toronto wants Brian Burke. He is one of the most respected GM's in this game, but has held many a role besides NHL Stanley Cup winning GM, including NHL player agent, former college and AHL player, and even the NHL VP of Discipline.

But, hold on just one minute. Does Burke want Toronto? Here at Hockeybuzz...ok ok, just me, wondered what else Brian Burke could do now that he is soon to be a "free agent".

One has to think that despite his no nonsense manner, there is a big heart of gold in Burkey. So, none better to be the NHL's Official Ambassador of Good Will.

Well, why we are on this feelgood tangent, maybe Burkey is a huge environmentalist at heart. Here we see him as a savior of mother nature.

Ok, so maybe you aren't buying it. Maybe this more falls in line to how you picture Brian Burke. Shaken, not stirred, and carrying some heavy metal.

Many have brought up Burke's name when wishing for a different Hockey Commish. Some feel strongly that his style and hockey acumen would be best served as serving the sport we all love. But why stop there?

How about you? Photoshop or describe what you picture Brian Burke doing next.

Two rules:

1. keep it clean/respectable and know that he does read this site and can get my address from Eklund, causing me to flee the country.

2. See #1 or grant my asylum in your basement or attic.

Thanks.
