Trade alert: Flyers get Matt Carle, 3rd Rd from TB for Eminger, Downie & 4th

Eminger was acquired from Washington on draft day along with a 3rd round pick for Philadelphia's 1st rounder (27th overall). The Caps selected John Carlson.

Carle was traded from SJ to Tampa Bay a couple days after July 1st with Ty Wishart, an 09 1st and a 2010 4th for Dan Boyle and Brad Lukowich. He was then signed to a four-year, $13.75 mil contract.

Downie has two years left under his entry-level deal at $821,667, while Eminger is making $1.2 mil and is an RFA in the summer.
