I love watching the Oilers play. They can flat out skate and their work ethic combined with young talent simply makes them a team you want to watch.

But tonight there is something else.

The Oilers are wearing their third jersey and it ROCKS. It is the vintage jersey this team wore when many of us FEARED this team in "all those years ago." Hey let's hear it for HORIZONTAL STRIPES.

Even before the Oilers were "the Oilers" (when they were finishing 16th overall and Kenny Linseman was still on the Flyers and scoring big playoff goals) The Oilers jersey was far and away my favorite. I remember declaring at that young age of 12 to my mom that Blue and Orange together were "by far the coolest colour combination EVER."

Tonight I was flipping through and I thought I happened upon a "vintage game" but then I realized that it was Cogliano, not Kurri, and that was Hemsky not Petr Klima...

I mean look at these two jerseys and tell me which one is cooler...
