On Khabibulin...

Technically, the Hawks have until Wednesday at 3pm to put in their final roster, but what I am being told is that today looks to be the day. According to a source familiar with the situation the likelihood is that the Hawks will send Khabibulin down to the AHL if a deal with a KHL team in Russia can not be reached.

On Sundin...

This is all very fresh this morning, but I am being told that an announcement may be coming "prior to the drop of the puck on Thursday" from Mats Sundin. My source has informed me that Mats may have indeed made a decision on his future and could be "trying to not upstage the NHL season opening."
