The Pittsburgh Penguins will appear on national television at least 6 times during the upcoming season. They have been selected to appear on the Versus Network 5 times and once on NBC thus far.

NBC has selected the Penguins Sunday January 18, 2009 game against the New York Rangers, however the team does have the opportunity to be selected three more times via NBC's flex scheduling option.

The games that will be appear on the Versus Network are as follows:

Tuesday, Oct. 14 PHILADELPHIA 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Detroit 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 18 MINNESOTA 7:00 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 22 at Buffalo 7:00 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 5 at NY Rangers 7:00 p.m.

All other Penguins games will appear locally on FSN Pittsburgh.

One note for folks who live outside of the Pittsburgh area. The Versus Network has also selected three additional Penguins games for “non-exclusive” broadcasts – meaning that FSN Pittsburgh will carry those games locally and Versus will broadcast them to the rest of the nation. They are: Sunday, Oct. 5 vs. Ottawa from Stockholm at 2:30 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 8 vs. Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, March 3 at Tampa Bay at 7:30 p.m.
