Talking to a source this morning who informed me that Bouwmeester is heading to arbitration, and that "The Panthers are acting internally as if they will move him. They feel they have no choice."
Another source, "They will try to trade him prior to the Arbitration. They can't repeat Luongo."

Several people are saying that Tortorella may be viewing the Islanders as an ULTIMATE challenge of sorts. Earlier this summer I spoke with someone who is close to Torts who told me that he was pretty certain John would take this year off, recharge, and wait for a position next year. This was prior to the Islanders job opening up.
I am still hearing that Hartley may be the leading candidate, but there is definitely a growth in the rumour mill toward Torts thinking that the Island could be a great opportunity and personal challenge
