Mats has made a statement today that he is not ready to decide....That he wishes the teams well. So he will wait while the other teams fill up their cap space.

Let's see? What team will have all kinds of cap space and not sign any other big names? Hmmm...
What team will be around still that Mats may want to play on?

OF COURSE! THE MAPLE LEAFS!

Sean Avery has signed in Dallas for 4 years 16 million.

I am also looking further into the surprise one year signing of Hossa in Detroit and how it relates to a rumour out there that the Oilers are close to a one-year-deal with Jagr. There are some really interesting back stories.

The Penguins are also in on Jagr I am told.

Two sources have confirmed for me that the Maple Leafs are ABSOLUTELY 100% still talking to and hoping to sign Mats Sundin.

Also a s few sources are saying a Hossa decision has been made...One team may have been said no thanks...

more to come.I am in the chatroom

from earlier

It sounds like the Hossa decision is coming in the next two hours.

Here are the players and what I am hearing.

On Sundin..

He was definitely wowed by Vancouver. That is common knowledge. AND WHO WOULDN'T BE?

I have heard from three sources that Mats may wait and visit Vancouver this week. If he does that he may narrow his choices since the Rangers and Canadiens may no risk getting shutout of signing other players and the money may not be there for Mats.

UPDATE**A SOURCE JUST INFORMED ME THAT MATS WILL RETURN BUT NO DECISION AS TO WHERE...Of course, this is just source and as we have learned with Mats no one really knows what Mats is thinking except Mats...and things can change.

Brian Campbell's Classy Move..."

I just got the Campbell Story, and this is NOT rumour, this is FACT.

It really came down to Atlanta and Chicago. The deals were very comparable. Brian sat down with his family to decide. He chose Chicago, but out of respect he did something that is NEVER done, and should be.

When a team puts all that money on the table it is a huge compliment. It is a big deal, even if they don't spend it, for a team to make an offer that is that huge, What usually happens is the agent will call the teams that aren't chosen to inform you, if you are lucky.

Brian Campbell personally called the Thrashers and thanked them. A small gesture maybe, but it goes a long way.

I will be in the chatroom from this point forward..
