What that is saying is VERY interesting to me...Realize that the Lightning are already promoting Stamkos on Billboards...so how can offers even be entertained?

One source said to me:

"The Lightning sale was JUST approved yesterday. They have an out if they want to go a different direction. Also don't dismiss that Feaster is very solid at this game. I was told that they will take Stamkos...no trade will happen before the draft...really why should they? the better value is from a team that CAN'T pull the trigger on the right deal. Then they could go back to Tampa and say, "here...here is a lot more than we talked about."

The Rumours are Rampant. The Malkin talk is at a fevered pitch. Malkin to LA Kings for Kopitar, Brown,and two first rounders. I just don't buy it. While I do believe Malkin could get moved at a draft, I would be more likely on board at the next draft in Montreal. There is no real reason for the Pens to shop Malkin "right now." That doesn't mean the calls aren't being made however...That is certain.

There is a bigger problem in Pittsburgh right now that no one wants to admit.

Getting really crazy. I said goodbye to my family for a few days....as I will be updating constantly through the draft and right through the UFA period. You can already tell that the environment appears to be perfect for deals in Ottawa.

A very good source informed me that the Maple Leafs are trying "LIKE CRAZY" to move up in the draft to grab Nikita Filatov. It makes a ton of sense. He is the Ovechkin of this draft. He is amazing and also very intelligent from all accounts.

The Senators may be trying once again to acquire Marleau from the Sharks I am told. The offers for Marleau are getting very serious...A few teams are also inquiring about Joe Thornton I am told.
